Who we are
GI Auto Insurance is an independent insurance agency in Dallas, Texas, operated by GI Insurance Agency LLC, a Texas limited liability company, doing business as GI Auto Insurance. We represent several insurance carriers and general agencies, so we compare more than one company for you. We are not an insurance company.
Our agents are licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance. You can check any license on the Texas Department of Insurance website, or ask your agent for the license details.
Coverage, quotes and underwriting
Every policy is issued by the carrier, not by GI Auto Insurance. Coverage, eligibility, limits, exclusions and rates are set by that carrier's terms and underwriting. Quotes are estimates until the carrier approves your application. Coverage begins only when the carrier accepts it and receives the required payment. Read your policy for the exact terms.
Auto insurance and SR-22
Texas requires liability coverage at the state minimum of 30/60/25. An SR-22 is a certificate of financial responsibility that your insurance company files with the Texas Department of Public Safety. It is a filing, not a type of policy. Whether you need one is decided by the state or a court.
Mexico auto insurance
Your U.S. auto policy does not cover you in Mexico. Mexico auto insurance is quoted and issued through a third-party partner, whose terms and privacy practices apply.
Tax services
GI Auto Insurance does not prepare taxes. Tax preparation and bookkeeping are offered by GTS Tax Pro, a separate business with the same owner, under its own terms and privacy policy.
Cash advances
Cash advances are offered through third-party lenders and are subject to approval. GI Auto Insurance is not the lender. Loan terms, fees and approval come from the lender.
